BIOGRAPHY
I received my initial training from Penny King in my home town of Grants Pass, Oregon, and continued at Jefferson Performing Arts in Portland, while dancing with their student company - The Jefferson Dancers. At Jefferson I worked with modern choreographers Donald Mckayle and Rachel Lampert, performing featured roles in Mr. Mckayle’s famous works Rainbow ‘Round My Shoulder and Games, and Ms. Lampert’s Traffic.
I danced with the world famous Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo and performed in major cities around the world from 1994 to 2000. Principal roles include: Odette in Swan Lake, Prelude in Les Sylphides, Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Princess Florine in Blue Bird pas de deux , Liberty Bell in Stars and Stripes pas de deux, The Dying Swan, and Poppy. Notable performances include: the 1997 Kennedy Center Honors Gala in Washington DC, Live with Regis and Kathie Lee on ABC Television New York City, the South Bank Show on BBC Television London, Joan Rivers and Her Funny Friends Off-Broadway at the Town Hall Theatre, and the Life Ball in Vienna.
While at Trockadero, I worked with Meg Harper of The Merce Cunningham Company, Elena Kunikova formally of the Maly Theater Ballet in Leningrad, and Robert LaFosse from New York City Ballet. I served as company rehearsal assistant for four years.
In Rochester, I danced with the Rochester City Ballet in productions of The Nutcracker, Firebird, Peter and the Wolf, Cinderella, Respect, and Gershwin in the Park, and served as their ballet master for three years. I also guested with New York Theatre Ballet.
My teaching credits include being on faculty at Draper Center for Dance Education, Nazareth Academy, Rochester Association of Performing Arts, Springfield Ballet, Ballet U, Madison Ballet, Central Midwest Ballet, and Kanopy Academy. As a guest teacher I taught at 25 North Dance Academy, The New England Ballet School, Spotlight Dance Academy, Southwest Academy of Ballet Arts, and conducted master classes at Live, Shinjuku-mura in Tokyo, and Dance Space in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Missouri State University, and American College Dance Association Conference. Musical Theatre is my first love, and was fortunate to choreograph productions of Drood, Secret Garden, two productions of Les Miserables, as well as many show choir productions.
I joined Les Ballets Grandiva in 2004, where I continued to establish my place as an important contributor to male comedy ballet. At Grandiva I worked with Stacy Wood and Paul Boos from the Balanchine Trust, Cameron Basden from the Gerald Arpino Trust, and Peter Anastos. 2009 brought my promotion as Artistic Director of Grandiva. Choreography for the company included Swan Lake, Four Seasons, Gottschalk Pas de Trois, Le Moulin Bleu!, Westward Symmetry, and Pas de Quatre (Nouveau). My ballets were premiered and performed in some the the most prestigious theatres in Asia, including: Singapore National Theatre in Singapore, National Theatre & Concert Hall in Taipei, Shinjuku-Mura in Tokyo, and Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre.
In 2011, I debuted Men On Pointe, an all-male pointe ballet company that performed in showcases and festivals in New York City. I was also co-director and presenter for Mid-Pointe Project, a choreographic showcase for older choreographers, where I debuted the solo: No. 9. On the West Coast I worked on development and served as ballet master for Man Dance Company of San Francisco from 2012 to 2014, while contributing choreography to Midsummer Night’s Dream. Choreographic residencies in 2014 and 2016, with Benjamin Breones Ballet in New York City followed where I created Liaisons with music by Irene Molloy, and Hous of Aschen.
In 2017, I joined Springfield Ballet as Associate Artistic Director, were I contributed choreography for the Nutcracker, created a one act Little Red Riding Hood, featuring Kim Crosby as the Narrator, and co-choreographed a full-length Beauty and the Beast.

To further my ballet knowledge, I attended teacher training at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet in 2018.

Currently, I teach ballet at Ballet U, Central Midwest Ballet, and Kanopy Academy, in Madison Wisconsin.
