MY CLASSES
BALLET TECHNIQUE
My Ballet Technique Classes are aimed towards proper technique and alignment to create the necessary classical lines and prevent injury, working with individual rotational capabilities, improving flexibility, hand to head relationship, and performance quality.

POINTE TECHNIQUE
My Pointe Technique Classes focus on strengthening ankles and arches, proper execution and precision of steps, foot shapes, and proper weight distribution to execute steps properly while wearing pointe shoes. I find it important to discuss the anatomy of the shoe, give insight into preparing shoes for use, caring for feet, and injury prevention.

MALE TECHNIQUE
My Male Technique classes are structured over all in the same format as regular technique classes, while individual classes focus entirely on single objectives such as understanding and improving turns, beats or jumps. The differences between how men and women move and their movement intent is explored. Emphasis on improving core strength is heightened, while topics of masculinity and chivalry are also discussed with the aim of boosting confidence, control and calmness.
PAS DE DEUX
My Pas de Deux Classes focus on finding the point of balance, points of support, partnered promenades, turns and lifts, and preparation for lifts. Equally important is the exploration of character development, relating to your partner, and emotional intent of gestures and movement. Lessons taught are equal to the level at which the students are capable. Different duets from Romantic, Classical and Neo-classical ballets are studied.
