VARIATIONS

If you are preparing for an in-person or virtual performance, I coach male and female professional dancers and students in variations using my eye for detail and my years of experience being coached and performing a vast catalogue of variations from different methods, styles and eras.

COMPETITION
PREPARATION

Whether choreographing for or preparing students for a local or national competition in a solo or group piece, I set and rehearse classical and contemporary dances, go over details on how to execute steps correctly, build strength and stamina, aid in character development, movement intent and performance quality.

Modern Ballet Dancers

CHOREOGRAPHY

In Choreography, topics include: structure, vocabulary, gestures, poses, pantomime, drama, collaborating with other artists, developing a story, importance of characters, and exposition of plot. Romantic, Classical and Neo-classical variations are learned from multiple methods, styles, and choreographers including: Vaganova, Cecchetti, Bournonville, Petipa, Balanchine, Macmillan, Graham and Fosse.   

 

STRETCH AND STRENGTH

My Stretch and Strength Classes include floor stretches that target specific muscle groups and partnered dynamic stretching exercises developed by Sue Callan-Harris PT, MS, CLT, and  non weight core exercises compiled over years of physical therapy, with a goal of the body being balanced in strength and flexibility capabilities.
